What's the work like?
Glyne Chittenden. Instructional Officer HM Prison Canterbury
“Coming from a building background this job's regular employment, regular holidays, excellent working conditions compared to being on sites in all weathers and an excellent pension, which is worth thinking about. Teaching the prisoners vocational skills, I have good and bad days. Successes are when prisoners find jobs on the outside. Failures are when you try really hard with someone, but they're just not interested.”
