When it comes to developing your nursing skills, there's nothing quite like working in a prison. Spending quality time with your patients, you'll get the chance to build positive relationships and play a major part in their rehabilitation. And since we believe that prisoners who are treated with decency are less likely to re-offend when they're released, you'll also be able to see the direct impact your work has on both their lives and the outside world. While that might be refreshingly different from the NHS, you'll be pleased to know the training and development pathways are the same. So, after a spell inside, you'd have no trouble re-adjusting.
