Stage 1: Minimum Eligibility Questions
At the time of application you will be asked a series of minimum eligibility questions. If you meet the Minimum Eligibility Requirements, your application will be acknowledged.
Stage 2: Prison Officer Selection Test (POST) – online version
Once you have met the minimum eligibility, you will be sent a link to your e-mail address for the on-line numeracy test. You must complete this test on your own and within 7 days. This stage of the POST comprises of a number of work sample exercises. You do not require any prior knowledge of prison work in order to undertake this test. If successful at this stage you will be invited to attend the Recruitment Assessment Day.
Stage 3: Recruitment Assessment Day (RAD)
We want you to be as informed and relaxed about your Recruitment Assessment Day (RAD) as possible. You may wear whatever you feel comfortable in, provided it is clean, not ripped or torn and nothing is printed on it that could be seen as offensive in any way.
You should bring suitable clothing with you to undertake the fitness test, i.e. trainers and gym kit.
